Listed below are proposed readings. Readings for later in the semester may change and will be updated as needed.  You are responsible for reading what is listed below for the assigned date, even if it is not mentioned in class.

    • Read descriptions of EVERY PLANT on the plant list we are studying (if in the book).  
    • For FEATURE plants , pay particular attention to Culture, Insects and Diseases, Landscape Value, and Additional Notes.

2.  In: Brenzel, Kathleen N. (Ed.).  2007. Sunset Western Garden Book (SWGB). Sunset Publishing Company, Menlo Park, California:
